This kitchen design includes an ‘open’ scullery space divided by the change in materials only – a window utilised as a splash back ensures the space is flooded with natural light.
Classic and distinctive ‘Giallo Marinace’ stone slabs had been chosen for the island with ‘Black Pearl’ granite around the cooking area and splash backs. A custom made metal leg was manufactured to support the lower seating area, providing a family friendly setting for meals on the go.
No white in sight – all internal cabinetry was black with BLUM Legrabox drawers and walls were lined with veneer using powdercoated mouldings ‘stickman’ to external corners to provide a crisp, quality solution for years to come. Floor to ceiling cabinetry added to the complexity of the project but accentuates the stud height. Brass rods were used to the front of open shelving to age naturally and enjoy the natural patina.
The two tone colour scheme created by using dark stained ‘American White Oak’ and ‘Blackbean’ recut veneer, clear lacq uered – both of which compliment the adjoining spaces and flooring perfectly.
